Presidential Music

Our president can play the guitar. Its a great thought. The man leading the country can strum a 6 string. I'm sure he has many other abilities that we weren't aware of, but the time frame involved with this particular photo-op is the ironic part of this whole presidency. This photo was taken in San Diego on August 30th, 2005 at a ceremony at the naval base to commemorate the surrender of Japan to Allied forces. This was 1 day after Hurricane Katrina began battering New Orleans. GW was aware that a HUGE disaster was in the making , yet he decided to fly from Washington DC to San Diego ,{ and a few other photo op stops} , so that he could show us all that he could play the guitar.
Now I know that people will say " He couldn't have know the scope of the disaster at this point" .. I say bullshit. On August 29th, a FEMA official, Marty Bahamonde, took it upon himself to take a photograph of 1/4 mile wide breach in the levee on the 17th street Canal. He then called former FEMA Director Mike Brown directly,, who then had a formal "Homeland Security Report" sent to the Whitehouse ,around midnight on the 29th , explaining that there was a 1/4 mile wide breach. Yet the administration, for months , said they were not aware of how bad the situation was. I guess the President didn't feel it was necessary to read a formal " Homeland Security Report" before flying off to entertain the folks in San Diego.
Our president can play guitar....
I'll have more later. I think this one plays well by itself.
