Monday Pictures

This is turning into a regular thing. Mondays just aren't my most creative days, so I'll resort to a few humorous shots & let them do the talking. I think I'll talk about how we are all potential terrorists tomorrow. {at least according to GW and his phone record policy . :}

P.S. I had another picture up here that I had hesitated using for the last month or so, just because.. If you'll take the time to read the comments made to this post , you might understand why I hesitated using it, and why, after reading the comment, I decided to take it out. Certain things in life need to be kept sacred, be it memories, or objects. This was one of them.

i'm behind your column absolutely 100% and enjoy talking about it with you every morning at work...but it pained me to see the doctored photo of the marines raising the flag on Mt. Suribachi at the battle for Iwo Jima. i get the humor and i understand the point you were trying to make, but this one left me flat. maybe it's because i had an uncle who was on Iwo Jima and another uncle who was a tailgunner who was shot down and spent time in a japanese prison camp before finally making his escape and a father who was in the navy. i guess being of a certain age certain images strike us in different ways. that one for some reason just happened to hit a nerve. please don't let that change your stance or alter your goal.
you're still the man.
it's just that as a kid i actually owned some shell casings that my uncle paul brought back in his pack from Iwo Jima.
i played with them when i was a kid and they didn't mean anything to me then...but i'd give all the world to have them here and in my hand right now.
