Revisiting Captain Jack

Back in April, I started a little saga which should be revisited or at least finished. I'm going to call this part 1 of 3 .. { at least I think this is going to be 3 parts. } Don't ask me why I never came back to this before today. Just one of those things. So, on with the show ...

Captain Jack Part-1

We're all familiar with the story of "Don Quixote" and his squire, Sancho Panza. It is a classic Spanish novel that I can, and will come back to as a reference point many times in the future, but for now, I just wanted to remind you of the main characters.

" Captain Jack" { he's the kitty posed on the small horse } , along with his human partner "Karen" { she's the cute blonde on the bigger horse } , were kind enough to allow me to reproduce this picture of them here. The symbolism used here is a great cross-over for the current situation involving our President & Vice- President . { Sorry Karen & Jack,, I tried to not use your names in the same paragraph as those two guys, but I just couldn't avoid it}..
You see, GW & President Cheney seem to be on a mission/quest to rid the world of all evil-doers, as well as those whom they perceive to be evil doers. The problem with that mission/quest is similar to the one faced by Don Quixote. Perception without basis can lead to incorrect decisions as well as major mistakes. Don Quixote had an excuse for his many errors. He was delusional. So, the question I have, as we watch GW & Dick ride into the sunset in the Iraqi oil fields, { gotta picture the oil wells instead of the wind mills from the origional story} , is did they make a major mistake , are they delusional, or do they think the American public is delusional? Which one is it boys? Captain Jack would like an answer. {At least bring him some clean sand for his litter box while you're locking up our oil futures}.

George and Dick on a never ending mission to conquer the oil wells of Iraq... Dick in a huge tank lumbering forward for the conquest, George following behind in his peddle powered toy tank complete w/ water gun. God , I could go on forever, or at least until this friggen war for gas is over.
Once again, thanks go to Karen & Captain Jack for the use of their characters . I hope the boys in Washington appreciate your sacrifice for the cause and are prepared for your arrivals in the near future. I think Jack will find lots of "rats" in DC .... LOL.

Mad Bush

Thought this might be a fun one for yesterday, but the internet gods decided that it wouldn't be. Well,, screw that.. I'll just delete yesterdays post & try again. I really like this picture. Yoiu gotta watch it for about 15 seconds,, but its worth it..

G.W. & another Dick

Wow.. That title took about 20 seconds to think up.
While reading a little bit about the background of GW , I came across something that doesn't get mentioned very often. Did you know that back in late 60's, before the start of the missing "GW Bush" national guard years, that he dated Richard Nixon's daughter? Damnit..... I liked Richard Nixon. I really did. I know he got caught & all,, but hey.. That was his biggest mistake. Politics was never a very clean game.. I think we all know that.. Oh well.. Now I might have to find a little bit of respect for the presidential puppet.. Nixon let him hold hands with his daughter..

Back to Dick

Don't Let it be said that I have no appreciation for the arts.
Here we have a comparison exhibit of a real work of art, followed by a " doctored" modern non-work of art. For comedy's sake, I prefer The real one. The doctored one is a bit scary.

Our Flag

This has been floating around the internet for awhile. The concept is pretty basic, while the end result is a scary reality. Think about it. The stars in the field of blue "represent" all of our current states. The federal government is elected to work on behalf of all the states. Given the current administrations mindset, the stars/states need to go away, & be replaced by the big corporations . Sad part is, no one is doing anything about it.

Think long and hard. And add whatever large corporation you want to the list.

Just 1 more?

I stayed away from this for 2 weeks & I didn't miss it at all. Not that I haven't had the urge to write anything, I just didn't have the urge to write stuff for here. I enjoy playing with this site & such, and G.W.Bush is probably the biggest fuckup that we have had for presidential puppet in our country's history. Therefore, I've decided to post.. On my terms... When I feel like it.. The things that Bush and company are doing & have done to this country are borderline criminal. I might only be one voice, but I really don't care. Fuck em all. This is about free speech. This is about whatever I make it. LOL.. Ok,, so I won't go that far.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. Following are a couple pictures that say what I'm thinking, to a degree. Have a great day,unless you choose to do otherwise .

Time Out

There comes a point in writing where a person needs a break . Such is the case with writing here. When the passion isn't there, the words are empty, hence the message, if it even exists , is lost. I see no point in tossing empty words out into an internet full of massive amounts of repetitive bullshit . And that's just what this was becoming. Repetitive bullshit. Angry rants. Lame attempts at humor. Perhaps at a later time the passion will come back, but for right now, Hawk, aka, Me, aka Joe McDermott, is going to take a little break from doing this.
Life has been tossing a lot of shit my way the last few months & this has been a good outlet for me. I appreciate the support as well as the amusing comments. Who knows, perhaps this little mood of mine might pass quicker then I think, but I sorta doubt it. A mind is a terrible thing to waste :}
