Whats the purpose George?

King George has renewed his effort to get Congress to pass legislation for military tribunial trials in regards to the prisoners being held in Guantanamo Bay Cuba . He feels that Congress needs to do this before their current session ends . This is the same legislation that the Supreme Court of the United States shot down 2 years ago. I guess King George, seeing that this is an election year, wants to keep everyones focus on the threat of terrorists as opposed to the threat that he is creating by overstepping his bounds regarding his dictatorship.... ummmm..... Presidency... Sorry Freudian slip..

Of the 400 or so "terrorists" being held in this camp right now, only a handfull are thought to be of any value when or if they go to trial. Additionally,,, if you think about it, how useful is the information that is gained from anyone who has been locked up for 4 years. That information is now pretty damn old & useless if you ask me. But hey,,, King George knows best.

What the administration needs to do is just shut up & listen to what the Supreme Court has said ,{2 years ago mind you} , along w/ what a lot of our allies have and are currently saying. Unless we have hard evidence of terroristic acts , send these " prisoners" back to their respective countries... Get rid of em .Let their own governments deal with them. Nuff said...Stop w/ the " lets keep the terrorist information on the front page so people will vote for us" bullshit...

I said it first...

I was so against this " policy" right from the start. The amazing thing is it slipped in under the radar. Most people weren't aware that the government had this access...

I wrote this back in April... Humor is the key that brings the point home.......The amazing thing here is that GW is still defending this topic... He's clueless... Thinks he is " King" of the USA as opposed to an elected official..... God I need to write a book on this moron...

The N.S.A and Michael Hayden

Did you know that You might be a terrorist? The "National Security Agency" , which was headed by Mr {General} Michael Hayden from 1999-2005, thinks so. Mr Hayden, who is now GW's leading nominee to head the CIA, felt it necessary to design a plan to listen in on American's phone conversations w/ people overseas without first obtaining a warrant. {Damn, that violates a few laws, don't it? } Ahh well,, terrorists are among us & Big Brother ,, ummm,, GW and friends, need to protect us. Besides, George And Mike both say it is perfectly legal to do this, & they wouldnt lie.....
Now, Mr Hayden also started another program while he was director of the "N.S.A.". This one asked the phone companies to turn over the phone records of millions of everyday Americans to "Big Brother". And guess what? Three out of four of them did it. AT & T, Verizon , and Bell South just turned the damn phone call records of millions of us over to the Government. Without a warrant... without probabal cause.. The problem here is on many levels. Are we all terrorists? I don't think so. Then why are all the records needed? Is "Big Brother" creating a data base ? Hummmm.. can't answer that, can you? Whats to stop the government from creating a list of people who may have called a certain phone number. Perhaps it's a liberal radical anti republican group's phone. Now Big Brother has a list of the people who might be in agreement w/ that group.. Amusing the possibilities to this scenero, isn't it? Keep in mind , these records were not supposed to be released .. Period....Not without a warrant.
"The Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986 was passed when cell phones and the Internet were emerging as new forms of communication. Section 2702 of the law says these providers of "electronic communications . . .shall not knowingly divulge a record or other information pertaining to a subscriber or customer . . . to any government entity."

Need I say more?

GW seems to be trying to get around these phone "thingies" by just saying "Everything we've done has been perfectly legal" . Ummm,,, Asshole ? George ? Start reading the constitution and stop spinning it. We don't need another Bush interpretation of what is right and wrong. And we dont need a military guy like Hayden running the CIA.

National Security

As I was driving over the mountain on the way home this afternoon, enjoying the wind blowing in the windows, I recalled a picture I had come across a few months ago that I felt would be appropriate for this page. After searching my hard drive for a couple minutes, I found it .
Since the founding of the " Threat Level Meter " back in 2002 , I've taken it seriously maybe,, ummm once.. Its sorta like the "1-10 burning index scale" that is heard on the radio & during weather reports in the summertime as you prepare for a day at the beach or pool. You hear the announcments in the back of your mind,{sorta like your mother reminding you to always wear clean underwear} but common sense usually helps you to be prepared for the sun and your potential to burn. Think about it.. How is the common person , you or I , supposed to be prepared for a terrorist attack? I can understand the Government wanting to be prepared,, but by putting this in front of the public, it basically creats confusion and the possibility for mass hysteria.
Any clue what the current " level" for terrorist threat is right now folks? Humm,,, lets take a look & find out. I suggest putting the following link on your desktop and updating it on a hourly basis. This way you can be as prepared to ward off terrorism as President Cheney is in the above picture. For those who could not use the above link, or who were afraid to look,, well,, the level is ............... " Elevated", or code "Yellow" , Which in Government terms, means " Significant risk of terrorist attack" .. Hummm.. seems a bit vague Mr Cheney. Can someone please clarify that for me? The funny thing about the whole indicator thingie is that right now they are saying we are at a significant risk,, yet today is the 31st of the month.. the indicator hasn't been " updated" since the 27th.. LOL-- sorta like taking the temperature outside on a cold , rainy Tuesday, Then posting it as the current weather the following Saturday. Think about that analogy.. Then wait a few days & let me know... LMAO.. I might have more to say on this one later tonight.
